Oh it is good to read you again. I have read a lot about all sorts of fruits that are good for you. George and I simply love them we eat more than one kind of fruit daily. Hope we will be all healthy soon. I am still wanting a slice of TAPS' wonderful pie.

I eat a lot of fruit just because I enjoy it, but it's double the pleasure seeing that it's good for us too.Like TAPS, gooseberries were favorites when I was a kid, but can't seem to find them anymore. Listen to your Angels, CCT.

I love gooseberries when they are still green before they begin to turn. But, I cannot find them anywhere anymore. When my boys were young, an old auntie had a wonderful gooseberry bush that she didn't do anything with and I would take my four sons to pick the green berries and then I would make the most wonderful gooseberry pies. They were so wonderful with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top while they were still warm.

I don't think I have ever had the juice of pomegranate but I use to fantasize over them when they came into the market again. I know A,s RP they are rather a nuisance at times, I usually pretend they are not there.

Re: They're putting pomegranate juice in everything these days - bottling
Yes I find one takes a drink and then forgets until the drink by date. I suppose it is unlady-like to keep spitting out the pips in the pommy.

They're putting pomegranate juice in everything these days - bottling
it for the convenience of buyers. I buy bottled fruit smoothies - I was making my own using bananas, carrots, fresh spinach and assorted grapes, berries, etc. but sometimes you can't use up the large amount they have all packaged up before it goes bad.

I do like pomegranate juice and organic berries, as the others give me a scratchy throat. Angels; I would guess one must tread carefully when they are about. LOL!

I've read that one should only consume organic strawberries, and other soft fruits. So I pay the extra and refrain from poisoning myself.
Angels can be so grumpy!
