Re: Re: Re: Re: Kabyu
yes he was but he was in Switzerland incognito...posing as his cousin....it is a long story...anyway he had no interest in me except like others guarding him to explore the possiblity that I was a danger to him. which of course I wasn't. I was just an Australian exploring the World and enjoying all sorts of adventures. Still when he died I could not help but feel it was a good thing. how did I get into this? LOL

Gaddafi was a womanizer through and through. A man's manifestation of a devil. Look what happened to him in the end.

Re: anibanerjee
I am glad that my inputs disturb;often I mean them to be so. And the reason being I strongly believe if there were no devil there would be no God as well. It's my endeavour to make people to believe there is no God or devil outside of oneself. But to come to this realization (not knowledge) requires experiencing, either through intense suffering, or through coming into contact with good people, and even having passed through a journey where self hate becomes an overpowering force, as in GM Hopkins's case, the poem he wrote clearing his doubts and depression and having fought with God himself - in Carrion Comfort. I truly believe that only such people are truly religious, not the priests or the black-coated people, they bludgeon people into following them. They invariably have an investment; their own survival is at stake, thus God's existence depends on devils. As for me I am neither a theist nor atheist, but an agnostic who does not have mind constructs, like I know, and I don't know as said by theists or atheists. Either of them have positive or negative beliefs. So I fully concur with you because your God came through your own realization. Thank you, it was enjoyable. Such Qs are my food.

Your writing is superb as writing can be but it gives rise to a discomfort within me because even as a pseudo Christian I am made to face the fact the devil (no caps) was and is a figment of mans terrified imagination meant to terrify man into following the black clothing of religions. It has done it's time, and now where is the modern poet who can talk about the Jesus who actually visited the space craft and wouldn't it be nice if a spaceman wrote about their real feelings about God??
I was a suffering Catholic for many years an alcoholic, who knew the devil as a drunk better than anybody and I couldn't sober up for the visions seen as a child of the Devil and his angels in the Steeple of St, Michael's church being kicked out of heaven and down to hell for being bad guys.
I would get to confession on Friday night for forgiveness for my alcoholic life style, just so I could go back out on Saturday and again pick up the bottle to play with the devil again. Finally one day it happened I had an apparition of the God within me who told me to just quit drinking, try and see Him every day in my mind.
Now I have been sober 48 years and I pray in my own way to that God within me, whom I call Maranatha and I don't follow any dictates from any religion really.
Thank you for writing.

Of course you can, and will be, excused. I blunder constantly; it's my specialty. I just found a grammar error in my posts here. Fortunately, this is not English class... Not to worry, anibanerjee, you do a fine job.

Re: Kabyu
actullally as Presta says, anti-hero it should have been. Churchill was an idiosyncratic person with that stupid cigar hanging from his lips. Just observe his face and you can tell.

Excellently told, as always, anibanerjee. Ahh, your ending is quite through-provoking, no doubt purposely on your part! Clever, very clever, anibanerjee. Yes, possessing some qualities of heroic proportion do not always a hero make, for the true measure of a hero is the beloved embodiment of admiration; eminating the quintessence of good. Love it! Anti-hero, perhaps... LOL!

Hero's aren't always nice people back in ordinary life. I mean someone like Churchill was the man of the hour for the second WW but was a very difficult person in real life. There are so many one could name. perhaps that is where such ideas came from?
