Re: Re: Re:RPresta

You are the icing on the cake, I suppose that is a compliment. Well I like the words that you play with, I expect the big one usually comes by accident.

Re: Kabu

Well I expect he was only in his twenties  mother died at birth, brought up by two old men. He just liked to please everyone , but he did have temper if seriously provoked.  I suppose I was not very bright at two years old.

Re: Re: C_C_T

Yes, one can tell you like people. You probably already have written the big one. No, don't hold you breath for me to write anything like that; I am not a poet, not really. I just play in the words.

writers and poets do not lie. well maybe some tabloid stuff does to sell their rags...but we speak the truth in poetic language or build a story that has the elemnt of truth in it but is OUR interpretation. Your Dad, now he did the coward thing but I can't blame him. The women were going to make his life miserable.

No, thank you Pat I think this audience is mature enough to understand the foibles of human nature.

Re: Chiff Chaff

I think I know myself RPresta , I like people really. I don't really think much about poetry , I would just like to write the big one, wouldn't we all. Maybe you will one day I'll tell you when you have, Hm.'

I am never annoyed to find your comments on my blogs, they are always a welcome treat that I don't always feel deserving of, as I read so often and enjoy, but find myself without words to express it at that moment.

The poem feels like one of those on-the-outside-looking-in-at-the-party times. The lanterns in the trees are a nice image, and remind me of one of my old hobbit poems. I will see if I can find it...

I believe you know yourself well. Not to worry...I think you do right by people. As for your poem; it is simply beautiful. I like the way it weaves through thoughts in a tapestry of words you have conjured up for us. Really nice.

If it is a lie, and the story has a good ending or an amusing wrinkle,

and no one loses anything in the enjoyment, then does it fit the "thou shalt not" imperative, or does it come under the general category of appreciation for the embroidery among friends? Do not nudge your conscience on this question.
