I had a Nano second when i understood something but i don't think I can explain it. it was about this moment of time. Not to flip back as pat suggests although her comments show she is way ahead of me on these tantalizing thoughts. No It was more like I experience right now and there is no future so there is no end.

I suppose we look usually at time as something that is robbing us of our existence.

It probably will one day completely as the Sun will not last forever . Although I suspect some unknown calamity will save future generations from ever being witness to this.

Perhaps we are privileged to live for a while in certainty and the wonder of it all.

It will be interesting to see how our concept of time evolves as the years pass by.

Nautikos

Such an interesting post. I am thinking about the 'why' right now and thinking, 'why not,' at my simplistic thought level. And as for time, I could spin out of orbit on that one, but perhaps the group, Chicago, summed it up with their song, Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?  LOL! I must consult Solin's book.

Sci fi writers ought to read Smolin's theories...

How wild to think that each moment still exists, and that if we could just flip the file somehow, we could actually look in on some encounter that we either misremember or would like to change... and we could step back into that file and delete, delete, delete... which works on a fiction level, but in the real space-time world, especially in Quantumarya, it's only something to think about or wish for....

In awe of your persistence...
