I agree that stupid is a choice. I choose to be stupid myself occasionally, for various reasons that seem compelling at the time. But I steer myself out of them, most of the time. Those who choose stupid, and refuse to steer themselves out of it, or refuse to listen to others trying to steer them out of it, are what the writer of Proverbs refers to as fools. And we are given advice to not get engaged with fools, for they will do everything they can to tear you down, to bring you down to their level, to blame you for what they are choosing to do to themselves. But when some of those you love or work with are fools, it is a heavy task, dealing with them. I think you can relate to this, as I have related to your great post. Thanks
