I don't know why I missed this - anyway, I do recall that show, though I was never an afficionado, LOL...The only series that, once upon a time, I watched regularly for a while was 'Coronation Street', that Brit show which may not have been aired much in the States...

Oh...this brings back so many memories of TV shows that I loved and how I really don't love any of them anymore. The modern ones are so gory and one gets lost in the blood and violence.

I don't watch much TV but agree that really good script writing in most shows today is sorely lacking.

Well I hardly ever look at the television Pat, but I do think some of the older projects were more rewarding to watch. Brashness appears to be prominent today and it is a job to emphasize with characters.

You my darling may be in a minority and maybe we are old farts, but every show one watches has grizzly murder sceens of blood and brains and callous killings. Show after show. No wonder people think it is right to carry guns everywhere. and knives and of course drug use is a given.
Oh but I could go on
