I should not think the imigrants will build a village at Chipping Norton, It is best to keep ones head down it will all churn itself out in the end.

Re:
Thank you RP. One cannot help but admire those women who worked so endlessly for their very existence and family. I know I should not have mentioned Brexit. It does show how closely we as countries are linked subconsciously. Thank you for liking the poem sometimes it is not easy to portray something that is acceptable.

Re: We've been hearing some about the vote tomorrow here on the TV
It is mostly all propaganda Pat no one can foretell what will happen. It is best to keep stum and ignore the noise. Yes rain is always welcome here in summer, the flowers love it.

Re: Kabu
Yes life was tough for the working class Kabu. Well as you know I never discuss religion or politics. Sadly I can't see a symbol to give you a biff on the chin. So you can have a hug instead.

I was told one of my g-grandmothers had a boarding house and did the wash for all. I thought of her as I read your post. Yes, the big day of the vote is here! Either way, we all wait to see. And hope for the best. I loved your poem. The words do have a way of getting what they want. You just said it so very cleverly and eloquently. Admirable.

I've mostly kept my nose out of the UK In/Out thing
though nothing happens in any part of the world that doesn't affect the rest sooner or later, one way or another. But I have followed what friends and acquaintances in the UK have been saying, and people who seem to have a clear eye on the bigger picture all want In, and those who want Out--namely, Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson--are distressingly similar to our Trump, who is also, to quote one Englishman who wrote on Facebook today, "utter, utter wankers."

We've been hearing some about the vote tomorrow here on the TV
when I flip through a BBC broadcast or on PBS, which carries real news and not much opinion - the way Kronkite and the real newsmen used to report it. I'm a bit tired of all the conjecture and opinion presented as news by some of the networks. Absolutely loathe the 10-second soundbites they call interviews these days. Lucky you, to have a nice rain. I hope it makes all your flowers beautiful.

That poor woman with the baby 5 miles is a long trek. and no one ever does tell how they got stuff dry in those big houses when it was wet. maybe they had a drying room behind the big kitchen chimney.
I am worried about the UK and am undecided but I say stay in because the Union will eventually collapse anyway.

With the amount of rain we got last month, a lot of people saved big on the old water bill who would have otherwise watered the lawn and gardens...A very relateable poem, I find this to be.
