I'm sure you're right - having to pay for it in the first place 'means' they're getting something 'of value'; and of course after having paid it would be a 'waste' not to make use of it! I'm not suggesting all of that is clearly thought out and articulated like that, but I think those are 'kind of' the thoughts, LOL...

don't make it too expensive cos most of the elderly are always short of money BUT putting a price on the sessions puts value to them. Automatically, peopledo value something that they paid for even a small amount. And also tit is for 15 weeks so the committment isn't for a whole year. Plus you do such a great job as organizer in chief.

Never sell yourself cheaply Pat. I guess I would have gone for the sale price, given me extra pleasure as I wore the garment ;

Sometimes, instituting a fee can help encourage a different behavior (i.e. overdue fees at libraries).
