I remember garages also; they were almost just another part of the house. But I remember also our house in the east when I was a very, very wee child that had none.

We use ours here, We put up a garden shed for stuff and it is so good to have the car garaged in the Winter.

Well no one ever uses the garage here FS it is usually filled with junk or turned into a granny flat.
