I have gotten that stare, the deer-in-the-headlights look, many, many times. It is to me, a combination both amusing and disconcerting, while at the same time being surreal. YOU know what you have said, but it is as though no one else understood it, or if they did, they either didn't know how to respond, or disagreed vehemently! Glad you brought it up! Made me remember...

I guess whatever you brought up was not accepted by the others. well you were peobably spot on the truth and they had to take time to digest it.

I guess one would have had to hear your point of view in order to possibly understand the staring. Staring is, though, very bothersome to people receiving the stares.
