It is the way of humanity.  The majority of people want to read such hypocrital stuff so the media supplies it.

It is amazing how hypocritical the media, and really, the left in general has been. Donald Trump rightly gets called out for his racist statements (i.e. most recently the judge), yet when there are Muslims who make anti-Jewis remarks and anti-gay remarks, nothing.

Re: Kabu

I'm not talking about 'the hypocrisy of the times', and 'the Gov and the Churches' and t'hose MEN in the USA'and Turkey's president' and all that - all of that could of course be discussed at great length and probably forever, LOL. But it's irrelevant to my one single point, small but not insignificant: That the N.Y. Times APROVES of the segregation of the sexes in swimming pools for MUSLIMS, and DISAPPROVES of the segregation of the sexes in swimming pools for JEWS! That tells you something about the N.Y. Times, but little about Turkey's president, etc., which I will gladly talk about some other time, LOL...

and it was the hypocrisy of the times that set silly stabdards for people way back when and the rules came from both the Gov. and the Churches who upheld those standards. i am sure the local newspaper also applauded modesty to such a silly degree.

I am not agreeing with it. I just say that we could all find ourselves back in the victorian era with or without needing to submit to the demands of muslims. Look at all those MEN in the USA and Turkeys president or whoever he is telling women what to do with their bodies! it seems to me that the World is ready to clamp down yet again.

I'm sure if I lived in NYC, I'd read The Times, but since I live in the

dull middle (flyover central) where no sophisticated New Yorker or Californian would willingly set foot unless we had a superbowl or world series game scheduled, I expect it will be some time before I feel worthy to open that austere journal and cast my eyes upon that revered ink... I do hear news mavens on the TV discussing things that appear on those headlines and editorials, though, and through it all I hear the flap, flap, flap of much ado about ???

When my parents were young, there was separate bathing in the sea. Men on one side of the jetty and women on the other. of course if one went to an empty beach one could do what they liked but in public, no bathing together. maybe with time things will change slowly to common sense in the USA and other places.
