Well I guess it would be telling someone straight , it would not matter if she thinks she is in love with you. Although most problems come tumbling after. Yes a nice straight talking poem. Now we want her reply. Just think like a young lady.

Agreed, when speaking of a person. If someone is interesting enough to someone, or interested enough in someone, that thought wouldn't even occur, now would it? LOL! It would be a strict "take it" for both people, I think, a kind of tacit understanding. In the case of my relative, my grand-uncle, he would say that phrase often regarding things, ideas, food, opinions, anything but people! The poem/lyric just reminded me how he often said that. He was quite a character! "Uncle, do you want salad?" "I can take it or leave it!" "Uncle, do you want to come with us to the store?" "I can take it or leave it." "Uncle, ...." Anyway, you have the idea... You will find the right one.

Well, the problem about "take it or leave it" could be:
If you actually care about Somebody, it's hard to stay interesting enough to the person. And then Suddenly the take it or leave it"-thing ends up like a pointless bunch of "trash"

I love it as lyrics, too! I had a relative who always would say, "(I can) take it or leave it." Didn't matter what the topic was... LOL!
