I am enjoying our debates...cos that is what they are aren't they! Debates. No animosity just making me use my brain. Some times I deliberately put another view or broaden what someone has written and you copy just to get a bite. But you know I am a witch anyway.

Of course I know what Germany has done re the Holocaust over the years so what a great " see how civilized people admit their mistakes' moment that they should use.

And I know a great deal about the Ottoman Empire. I was married to a very intelligent and well educated Athenian Greek for nearly 20 years. Of course they committed genocide on the Armenian people, and it is a terrible disgrace that they cannot ever admit a wrong.

Very good friends I used to have in Athens...he was part of the exchange of Greeks and Turks in 1923 when Turkey expelled the Orthodox Greek people and Greece expelled the Muslims. My friend missed Turkey even as an old man yet hated the Turkish people too. Most Greek people that I knew held distaste for The Turkish people, not because of their religion but because of those hundreds of years of occupation.xx

Hopefully, something grows from such a milestone declaration.

It must be about the money... And again, I am reminded of Shakespeare, "...What's in a name?..." In this case, more than I have to capacity to fully know, apparently.

It is not much.......

......  but we should celebrate any good news that we get these days.  Has Germany acknowledged the general genocide,  or religio-cide,  happening against Christians all over the Middle East,  but particularly by ISIS?  I don't think so.....

I'd like to think those of us who live in North America are not such

heartless souls as would commit such atrocities, but then I hear thoughtless campaign speeches about torture and "worse" out of ill-informed blathering smoke machines and think maybe I've overestimated the standards I always thought we lived by. The bitterest part of the story is that those who are so bloodthirsty seem to be acting on behalf of their kind and loving creator.
