I'm sneaking a peek on here before the phones start ringing here at work. I spent many a happy hour at Swope Park, loved just riding around the roads on motorcycles or in cars....and many hours on golf carts at company functions, the golf course there is so beautiful. I have a scar from a burn on my left calf from wearing shorts while riding a motorcycle with an old boyfriend - I was getting off as he was leaning it over to help me....I ran and sat down in a nearby stream of cold water with my leg stretched out to ease the pain - I ended up with a large blister full of little debris from the creek! And, of course, Starlight was always a great pleasure. As always, you make me yearn for a visit back.

Fascinating bit of local history! And, like Pat, I really admire the way you bring together the 'historical' and the 'biographical'...
