That is great the lady has been able to defy the amount of time she was figured to live and seems to be doing well while doing so...The end of your poem really jumps out at me.

It is a long farewell and there is really nothing like fresh vegetables. I have one tomato plant thriving in the snow room which is like a hot house right now.

I think your little neighbor will very much enjoy your carrots. Things taste so good right out of the garden. We tend to forget, spoiled as we are by the convenience of supermarket produce...
