I have been dealing with W10 for a while now.
When I want to work on photos, I insert the memory card in the appropriate slot on my laptop, then go to the Windows icon and click on 'file explorer.' I scroll down until I see 'sg card.' That is only there if there's a card inserted.
I am also mystified by the whole thing and don't use but a fraction of it simply because I don't know what I'm getting into when I click on something. I don't know half the terminologies, and have to also get through the resentment at having it forced on me.
Sometimes tech-makers are just stupid about human beings.

That's an old photo I took a year or so ago. The old ones are still around. But, I can't seem to get new ones I take put in.

I don't know why they could not have left the Windows as ones choice. It was obvious that there would be hundreds of glitches.I keep clicking it off everytime it asks me to load Windows 10. Perhaps the message will get through one day. Nice clear photo though.

Like you, I have been violated! I would be no more furious had they shoved 10 up my rectum - for in a sense they have! It's totally bloody outrageous! And I also can't find half my stuff, and less than that of my photos! Right now it's just my laptop that is infected - and I'll be talking to my nerd about protecting my PC. Which is an adventure in itself - he's a nice guy and knows his stuff, but he speaks a virtually undecipherable Spanglish...

See if you can get it undone! They keep trying to get me to do that also, and no way do I want it... It's on another computer and I don't care for it at all. Hope you can get to your pix! How frustrating.

That happened with me once and the Windows 10 but I had Dell remove it but now they keep bugging me to do it again. Ugh!!!
