Well you should have some great ideas by now Pat. I think though that you are bringing your book to print is something you would not have dreamed of once ,I am sure your Mother would be proud.

I'm so sick of the constant selling - on every TV screen, little buttons
and logos even during the news of death and destruction, all the news but first this word... car commercials, insurance commercials, lawyers' commercials, a constant barrage of buy, borrow, spend, do.... So your poem just suits me to a "T." And now, when my book is turned into a commodity by Page Publishing Co., I'll have to join the ranks of those who sell. The shame of it all (: .

Re: CCT
A large pebble Naut, well I did see the photo and an old man explained the reason.
Sadly I never feel the least bit hungry when I shop, I did mean to buy some creamy cakes but forgot.

Re: shamasehar
Thank you it is a far cry from the bar of washing soap and packet of soda crystals. I suppose if there is money something will always be on special offer.

Re:
Well good for you RP; I rarely practice what I preach and usually forget to read the use by date. Of course kiddies obtained quite a bit of immunity, countless times I ran and skidded on our road which was self made and covered in grit, I can still feel the sting as the flannel tried to ease the grit from under the skin. Wow! that makes me feel funny even now.

Gardening season is in full swing, I see. For us, it still feels like a sort of winter-spring hybrid of a March...Some wise advice to leave us with there are the end.

Great and fascinating post. In pix of both of my parents' families, the boys wore some type of dress until old enough for short pants. Then they graduated into longer pants when they got older. As to your shopping poem, I loved the line about dirt being cleaner. Quite brill, I believe you say! And yes, I do read all the labels and dates!

Reading chits and tags, pushing trolleys.... Shopping has changed and your poem describes it all so well. Loved it.

In photographs boys held a pebble to be recognized as boys? Fascinating! And I really like your very perceptive poem about the changes in the shopping experience...
