From outside your family boundaries, Arthur does look the cheeky monkey! But I have to nip back the indignation I feel when you tell of how he raids you because by now no doubt you have all sorted out your family dynamics so that they work well enough for everyone actually involved.

Re: Naut

Thanks Naut, Arthur is lonely, I think. I just don't know how these little kiddies pop up perhaps they are really young women in drag.    Like Kabu, I know she won't read this. Oops I should have posted you last.

Re: Rpresta

Well he has given me lots of clothes so I couldn't say much as I did not know it was there. I did buy loads of sun resistant clothing last year but it has hardly been warm enough to wear. Yes I suppose it does one writes and wonders.

Re: Taps

Kids all walked to school usually in little bunches, I remember we called one the tribe of Israel, because it consisted of three large families. I had a little Ford second hand of course, but the steering kept veering to the right.

Your poem is great.  It reminds me of my own childhood although we were never driven anywhere.  We had to walk everywhere, or walk up the hill to the bus stop and wait on it for a ride to town.  We didn't even have a car until I was sixteen.  Mom & Dad rode the bus too.  The year I was 16, dad bought a car and we took a trip out west....all eight of us in a little Ford.

Thank you for the poem about the child's life. It truly is one for the

collection. I've been winnowing and tossing out of my closet and storage - who needs more than half a dozen outfits? I live my life in jeans these days, and sweatshirts are so cozy...

I have to do my laundry tomorrow...A lot of people find life to be a worry once that childhood innocence is lost.

Sounds like Bro went shopping in your closet for a coat. Now turn about is fair play, they say... I have 2 hats that are sun resistant. Shall get more I think. Love the poem. It all goes and flows together quite nicely.

CCT

Tell Arthur if he likes it so much to become a haberdasher and to stop worrying about your shirts...And I totally love this poem about a little girl's life! It's definitely one for the collection!
