I have hearing aids too but find them a damn nuisance so I never used them. Not much I want to hear anymore anyway, good luck with your new aids love.

I too have been 'accused' (there is always something accusatory about these observations, I find) of hearing deficiencies - I consider it a matter of healthy 'selective' hearing...

Well one can get National health ones here Pat. They are rather ugly and most do not seem to wear them all the time. A lot of rip off merchants in all these gadgetry conveniences. Seems you are about right this time. Make sure there is a long guarantee and of course insure for loss.

Good for you and well worth the wait although it is still a lot of money.
My Dad was deaf in one ear and couldn't hear out of the other but if you were cross and said something about him where he couldn't lip read, he would always hear you. Funny that or perhaps he just took a guess.

LOL. I like your last paragraph. I hope they work well enough for you.
I'm wondering if two of my sons have hearing problems. They both talk so loud that it is uncomfortable for the listeners. Son #1 is the opposite. It always seems he is whispering and I have to say "What?" to everything. There must be a happy medium to all of this.

I hope it works well for you!
Have you heard of the new ear plug-ins that translate languages into English in real-time, as you converse? I suppose both parties to the chat need to have a set.
