Re: Re: Nautikos

Oops, phrasing - I didn't inherit the garage; it's the tapes to which I was referring. LOL!

Re: Nautikos

I had to Google it! I did not consciously know of the song.Then came the shock! I listened to Caruso's version also to see if I could remember it from my childhood, as various operas and symphonies were being played nightly. The melody is a bit familiar. English is almost my second language, as I heard both languages from infancy, but I never formally "learned" Italian/Dialect. Oddly, I wrote part of this in Italian months and months ago! I am going to check the tapes in the garage that I inherited to see if this is on one of them. Ahh, the unconscious... Grazie!

RP

For some reason this brought to mind 'Una furtiva lagrima', from Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore. Luciamo Pavarotti sings it very well...

Yes I do echo the sentiments, I do think your Muse is a very young girl, but who cares if she skips into a dream world.

Music...Nothing is forever;
always is a lie.
I can only love you
til the day I die...                 --Old song you brought to mind.
