Re: Lanetay

Very well written poem... again
I really like the poem you just shared here. Those memories thought forgotten, well they may lurk at you from the shadows of the past.

Glad you liked it Pat, we all have little aches to contend with. Well this pipe work was estimated for three days I thought it was fairly priced at £2300.00. As the engineer said 'it is not your fault . Day four begins after the holiday. I did buy a length of copper pipe a while ago as a slug barrier, I don't remember if it worked ,I remember it was very expensive. The heating is on upstairs , thankfully I have a computer here.

Water, water everywhere here at the moment, not from water pipes but from days of torrential downpour. This is another very soggy day. Even my head feels soggy. But, I do like your poem.

Re:Kabu
Yes occasionly Arthur will shout at me to put a coat on but I like to climb the greasy pole at least once a day, though sliding back down is the best. Do you think I deserve a cup?

Re: Rpresta
Well Rpresta the truth was or is or will be . This was a poem I had posted before once. I read it and thought it is too vague. So I started cutting and changing and was quite frustrated and then it seem to come together and I still have the original to play around with. i think we probably paste over our pains eventually, unless someone or something rubs the healing mark off again.

There are a lot of water pipe issues around this neck of the woods! The plumbers must be "making bank," as the expression goes. Means making a ton of money. Your poem was so beautiful, and the last line, sealed the tone of it. Very lovely.

readers... I hope your gas and water lines are soon restored to full functionality and you can keep cozy in the chill and damp. I know a very good plumber, but it would cost you a substantial amount to pay for his mileage on a house call. He gets $40 an hour, minimum.
