I'm so sorry about that car and transmission and I think cost will be more than has been told at this time. See, damage to the transmissions interior will be the real problem more than the hoses.But I pray everything works out financially well.

Oh, your poor sis. I hope someone pays it forward for her. I also was brought up to only lend money if you don't expect it to be returned.

Our neighbor is having trouble, losing a job can't get another. I am going to Pay it forward by letting him keep his pride and hire him to help me with the garden. I am finding the going really tough and he needs cash.
I am so sorry for Sis and tell her my philosphy is that if I honor a car with the gift of me to drive around it should never break down.
