A shame to lose a good neighbor, A friend of ours wrote to the council stating that the empty house next to him had a very unkempt garden. Now it has a family of Pakistanis playing loud music.

I always hate it when a favorite character leaves a show. It feels then like it is only a matter of time before the show ends.

I like those neighbourly gestures! And unless it's a rain barrel, in which case Kabu's solution seems ideal, a lid might be the answer to the problem of critters drowning there...And yes, things hiding in plain sight - I too have experienced that more than once ! It's interesting psychologically...

I have rain barrels here in the Summer. being an Aussie and used to drought i hated to see the water run off the garage rood and waste...I drowned a squirrel once . Was so upset so now I put a stick into each barrel and critters can climb up that and out.
funny how "things" can hide in full sight! We have that here as well.
