Re: Nautikos

Oh, boy! That's quite a compliment, and thank you very much. Hah, that put a smile on my face as I thought of ol' Blue Eyes' song...and you are, as usual, correct. The entire family is that way. A tendency to want to '...do it my way...' is perhaps an inherent trait in many Southern Italians. Capisc'?

Re: kasperhoe

You are very welcome, and if it gave you answers to questions, I am honored. Thank you.

RP

I like this - as I do all of your work! And for some reason it reminds me of Frank Sinatra, "...Regrets, I've had a a few..."

This is great

I love this one.  Actually, it reminds me a bit of a question I ask myself now and then.  This poem of yours came up with some great answers.

Thanks for sharing.

Re: FSI

Yes, as do I. But poetry is just poetry, sometimes.

Re: Kabu

Your comments are right on point, Soul Sister. It is not the path we walk, but the destination we reach. I am glad you enjoyed the poem.

Re: Katray2

What you say is so true. Thanks. Not a meandering comment at all, but most likes a wandering, meandering poem...LOL!

I enjoy reading different people's thought processes.

Dear Soul Sister. if we were born with the knowledge that it takes most of us a life time to learn. How good we would make this world for ourselves and for others. I seem to have had to take such a twisted path. Open so many new doors and walk through. learn not to regret or look back. Oh but I love this poem.

Deep and thought provoking, RP...

I think my regrets in life stem from those times of not being completely honest with and of myself; meaning not being myself because of fear of judgment or negative response. Probably we all have tried to hide our true selves in some fashion and circumstances and doing so is caused by a type of false pride - my view. Well, a deep poem evokes a meandering comment, I suppose, lol..Great work!

Re: Re: TAPS

Thank you for answering back! I think you said you would have been something akin to more tolerant, though I imagine you always were so; sympathetic, caring and kind, being a nurse.

Re: C_C_T

Thank you so much. Suggestive allusions...hmm, didn't think I was bright enough for those...LOL! Yes, I'm a softie all right, but at times the hot Italian temper and perhaps a bit of Gyspy blood would flare. But for most part, I'm really easy-going.

Come on Rpresta loved your poem. The weaving in and out of suggestive allusions  I think though that you were always a bit softhearted. Please say that is so.

Re: RPresta

LOL.  Don't feel bad.  I don't remember what I said, but I do remember that I really liked the poem.

TAPS

Oh, TAPS, I am so very sorry. I'm such a dimwit - I accidentally deleted your comment, when I had made a mistake on my ownresponse and meant to delete that, and put in a corrected version! I thank you for your comment, and forgive me, I was trying to say "Thank you," and basically that I would do the same as you, try to react to people differently.
