I like Son#1's was poem, and I learned stuff! Though quite familiar with Mark Twain's work, I had never come across that remark of his! And neither did I ever read that H.G. Wells novel...Having said all that, I like wasps, as long as they more or less keep to themselves, LOL...One reason I like them is they kill flies, and I hate flies...

Things are never dull when wasps are around. Thankfully, I have never come across one.

These Queens need killing quickly. I am not against wasps but if the get in awkward places one has to exterminate hundreds rather than one. Actually they do good in the garden eating greenfly and small caterpillars. Rather kill one now than have those messy jam-pots with dozens drowning within.

They began coming around here in February, what with the warm
winter - I try to maintain a careful detante with them, knowing they're pollinators, but if they try to daub a mud nest around my door, out come the chemical weapons.

I don't know whether to roll on the floor laughing at Dtrump doing a dance or whether to throw up at the thought of that behind...and I cannot help but think of the late great Ballet master Robert Helpman (who went to school with my Dad) who suggested when asked about nude dance that when one stopped all movement some parts of the male anatomy could still be swinging!!!
I don't mind the wasps becasue they hate Wiley and leave me alone. it's everything else here in the summer that feasts on me.
