I love it. LOL.
I wonder what were my first intelligible words.
Reminds me of Son #1's first word combo that I remember. He was 19 months old and I had just brought Son #2 back from the hospital after his birth. Son #1 was very interested in everything about the new baby. I was changing new baby's diaper and Son #1 got a really good look and said very clearly, "Good Grief!" (something that I said quite often, as did my mother)

That was worth a few dollars Pat. In a movie the guy would have given her a reward,

Re: Has she remained a quiet person, or did that open flood-gates?
She's not overly talky, and what she says is 99% of the time logical, well-considered and once she's formed an opinion, that's it.

Has she remained a quiet person, or did that open flood-gates?
I heard of a boy who didn't speak until he was 5, and then it was at the dinner table: He was looking at a plate of over-cooked spinach and suddenly, clearly, said, "I can't eat that sh-t." Of course, everyone flipped out over his speaking, and someone finally asked him why he'd never spoken up before. He said, "Up to now, everything has been all right."
