Let us also realize

The author,  Mr. Charbel,  has probably just put himself on the target list of ISIS,  Al Queda,  etc.  Let us pray for his protection,  for he is a rare voice of truth,  in a religion of lies.

Thanks for posting this

Those are welcome realizations from an honest Muslim.  Acknowledging failure is a necessary step in going on to improve.  Slow beginnings of a Muslim reform movement?  Let us hope so.

The search for an answer

that, as yet, does not exist, is a grindstone chewing up the hopes and mentality of those stuck in the middle, those who want to be recognized as culturally sound Muslims rooted in their faith, to show the world the open hearted kindness of their faith, the love and caring nature of the Muslim religion. All over shadowed by the senseless slaughter of innocent people whose relatives are now stuck with the one opinion of said religion, and the audience of millions watching, who know so little of the religion to begin with, only get to see the worst of Islam..

Nautikos

I read your blog and am left feeling very saddened by the state of affairs of normal Mulims sans ISIS, I really don't know what to say after the IRA, and me having been very Catholic from birth.

Fact is I evolved into this person who supports the poor of the Catholic church financially but do not participate in the operation of the institution any longer. I feel terrible about the IRA and would suggest there isn't much left for bona fide Muslims to do but leave the practice of their religion to themselves and pray in an interior human way alone. Great post Naut old friend and that is my most forthright response to your writing.

Well it was sad that a shopkeeper was killed in retaliation to the bombing outrage,

I don't think anyone disputes your what you say on your blogs Naut,

I think there is a different attitude here. The older people having remembered the Blitz

Or at least been told about it and then the bombing when the Irish problem was unsolved. Also we are always aware of racial predudice, which is probably carried to the extreme. Folk are more worried about immigrants pouring in and taking the health facilities which are near breaking point. If we do vote to leave Europe I feel that will be the reason as we are not adquately able to control the imput of undesirables at this time,

I know I am skating around your comments, but I just have no answer to make things better.
