It is good to see at least some talking heads having these discussions. Like you, I do not see Obama having an "epiphany."

I'm sure of one thing, we all think we know what's what, and that
ours is the truest and most sensible opinion. I have to say there's so much to this disccussion, so much we haven't (thankfully) been exposed to until recent years, that it behooves us all to keep studying. Thank you for your thoughtful research.

Well Naut I was interested to read an article in the paper saying that Canada was making the mistake of high taxes and trying to spend itself out of near recession. When you have time perhaps you could verify this. I can't say much I am riding on her broomstick.

Nautikos
I have seen a few other commentators who have it right about Islam, mostly on Fox but also on another news channel called One America News, or OAN, which is privately funded and has very few actual commercials. Their news is objective, and their commentary is conservative, so of course I like it, and you would too.
From a psychological view, it seems to me that Islam tends to be the ideal religion for aggressive, predatory people, though other types of people can certainly try to follow it, though they will be at a disadvantage and will be dominated by the predators of Islam. Most other religions such as Christian and Buddhist are ideal for passive, non-violent people, similar to the prey species in the animal world. They might get along fine with one another, but when the predators show up (Islam), they cannot deal with it, and they unsually just serve the role of prey, willing or not.
The current cartoon movie Zootopia is a very clever play on the predator / prey theme. I was blown away by the high intellectual quality of that movie last week, and my 6-year old grandson loved it, and said he learned a new word from the movie. I said what word, and he said "predator". I then explained the basic difference between predator and prey, but did not get into the comparison with religions. He is coming along nicely, and he might be ready for that in a couple of years.

When and if you should have the time (or desire), it’s quite something to read this entire transcript of an interview Trump had with the Washington Post (and to know that this is someone who aspires to be president of the United States): https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2016/03/21/a-transcript-of-donald-trumps-meeting-with-the-washington-post-editorial-board/
