An interesting but also disturbing post! I totally despise people who abandon their animals! If caught, they should face jail! And it's shocking to find it's a common practice in some parts! I can understand that sometimes people's circumstances change and make it necessary for them to part with a pet - but there are everywhere many ways of doing it decently and humanely...As for the piggtes, unl - if I had a few acres for them to roam they might be fun animals to have. But I don't think they would welcome long walks in the woods with Bennie and me...

People who abandon unwanted pets are mighty low.
That old lie about Fido being happier out on the farm has gotten a bit timeworn. I can't help it, I know pigs are very smart, but I can't get past the idea they're food animals.

I suppose one could adopt a pot bellied man Taps . Sorry I can't qualify 34" waist. I always thought it would be fun to have a miniature farm with Gulliver type animals, but I guess if I had it the milkmaids would go on strike. How did the dentist's appointment go?

I think the pet and the person(s) have to be a match. I know of someone who has a pot-bellied pig because of cat and dog allergies!

it is the life time committement that people don't seem to think about . It isn't just the new throw away age we live in either. It has always been the way.
How people can...well they do and Graysome pussycat is ruined, spoiled rotten because I couldn't rescue more than one so we give him the best life ever. And he gives us heaps of joy in return. That is what people don't seem to understand.
