Re: Naut
Well talking of that Naut I know an old chap who had an home help visit. Kind of free from the Council. He looked at her and said 'never mind the cleaning get on the bed.' Next time they sent a male attendant.

Re: Taps
I suppose it goes with the job. Once it was essential if you wanted to feed a family. A bit of digging by moonlight was not unheard of.

I find your poem to be very adorable, especially with the sleepy ending.

Gardners' Gripes, the aches and pains are so familiar.
Mama used to have a way with words to explain how digging dahlias and finagling the nasturtium, weeding, hoeing, etc. left her crippled by the end of the day. She didn't believe it was good for you to take aspirin, etc., just a cup of coffee and a cigarette and a little sit-down with the Saturday Evening Post and news on the radio.

Re:
No not at all Kabu just a pain in the err side, but Archie said he has one as well . We have been lifting massive dahlia roots. Next year I shall chance leaving then in the ground if it looks like a mild winter. I expect the snow is kinder than deep frosts to your garden I have just bought more perennial phlox and those tall autumn asters or Michaelmas daisies as they are called. I just can't resist somethings.

Re:RPresta
Yes OK . RP. Now have you any garden? I keep forgetting that California is as big as England. Gardens are very small here on new built properties.
