Re:

BC-A,

Yes, we should ask for anything in the name of Jesus. That is the key ASK. If it is his will he will allow it. However, bargaining with God is asking God to do something conditionally. That is you will do something for him on the condition that he does something for you. This is not called love for God. He loves us unconditionally, why can't we do something for him without a price tag to it. If he has ordained it, so shall it be. It already is. I find that bargaining does not work for me. If God is going to do it, he is going to do it.

You are correct, time does heal all wounds.

Re:

Kabu,

I realize that hate does not work for anyone, not even me. This why I ask God to "Give me a heart like thine". As for anger, God often kindles his anger to us. The word of God says,"He is angry will the wicked every day" We are made in God's image whether we act like it or not. Anger is a God - given emotion, it is what we do with that anger that matters or count. Is our anger directed in an appropriate way? If we discard the anger the bitterness will go away.

Somewhere along my life I forgot about hate. I can't hate anyone. I can get angry but I can't hold onto the anger and hate is totally foreign to me now for years. I don't forget but if you don't hate then you forgive....or so it seems to me.

a good post .

Time's the great healer.

As for, bargaining with God prematurely, ask for anything in the name of Jesus and it shall be answered.
