Re:C_C_T
It was the dandelion leaves that would be fried up in olive oil and garlic - before pesticides were used so much. Today no one in their right mind would do that! Never ate berry leaves!

Re: We used to hold a dandelion under the other guy's chin,
Well Pat the tomatoes in the shops are usually nicely presented but lack a real homegrown twang of authenticity . Trouble is I hardly ever have tomatoes for tea time as I pick then from the vine, just can't resist doing somethings.

Well Bro his F,I.L paid for it in the autumn so we shall see. It seems rather unfair to take a license because of age it would be better to stop the nutters who drive recklessly.

Re:
Well RP poor Gram would get the tummy ache I would imagine. That is if she did it today.
Too many nasties around. I don't like to see folk picking blackberries roadside especially children. I do wonder what they would taste like a lot of flowers are edible , but it does seem a lot of trouble to make a new dish.

Well, at least the granny didn't make everyone pull over at the side of the road to pick wild dandelions to fry up with garlic, the way my Gram sometimes did!

It's good of Archie to drive for his dad on holiday. On April 11 I may have lost my license because of age 80 but one never knows Bro.

We used to hold a dandelion under the other guy's chin,
if his skin reflected the gold flower, it was a sign he likes butter... I know those advance planted tomatoes are going to taste all the sweeter because they'll ripen a few weeks ahead of the Johnny-come-lately seeded ones.
