- Go to “Why?” A series inspired by TAPS...V
Way back when I wrote the word "Why?" before this series of TAPS posts began, i can't even remember now why i wrote "Why?" when I did. But i have been reading right along as if I had inspired everything you have written in the last V posts.

I'm not sure, but Hitler was a Catholic so his actions may have been religiously motivated

You continue with the interesting history lesson. Yes, I can see Jesus being the Son of God being a major problem for Muhammad and Islam as a whole.

Good post. You are wrong about the Holy Bible not being the WORD OF GOD. It is. The Koran is plagarism with the gathering of the names and people used. The father of that book or books is Satan.

Isn't religion as opposed to Faith an ideolgogy, perhaps a fanatical concept even? Wasn't Communism an ideology,? Didn't Stalin kill 20 million of his own people?
I would debate that radical Islam is not Faith but it is religious Fanaticism and is used as the excuse to kill of not just Christians ,Jews and Athiests or just ordinary people in their way, but other people of Islam who are a bit different to them.
But I can't debate you, you are a friend, and this subject goes on forever. Look for the broom!!

Re: Re: Re:
Kabu, when we debate and 'argue' these things, we need to be careful that we speak of the same phenomenon instead of flailing about the bushes seeing what we can stir up, LOL! Hitler's deeds were not religiously motivated, and I doubt the occasional 'daily deaths' in America are, unless the killing was done by Muslims, as was the case in California recently! The crucial variable here is religious motivation! We can talk about others if you want to at some other time, and they might also be interesting, but here I would like to stick to that one issue...

Re: Re:
6 million Jews died at Hitlers hands alone in the 20th century...and this century well take America...How many daily deaths are there between people who disagree with society or just one person....and so we could argue on.

Re:
Yeah, well, CCT - I know a little bit about history, and indeed, 'religion (and a lot of other stuff) has been the cause of wars since time began,' more or less...However: How many people have died, just since the beginning of this century, at the hands of religiously motivated Jews, Christians, Mormons, Hindus, Buddhists, Taoists and roughly 4000 other different religionists, because their victims didn't want to convert to their beliefs or pay tribute? Any idea? Now, Muslims' faith requires them to fight, which occasionally involves killing, many hundreds of thousands so far, and counting, (if that's even possible!)...And even those that don't actually do any killing become a blight on the land! I shouldn't need to explain to you what's happening in your country, or on the Continent...

Well if countries are anything to go by religion has been the cause of wars since time began. Remember here Naut only a few hundred years ago wars were fought family against family county against county. I suppose if it were not religion it would be something else. If aliens attacked we would all join forces to defeat them. It is how our brains function. We are still primitive. Well I am. .
