A very interesting history lesson, one that helps to explain Muhammad very well.

Ahh, yes, the hallucinatory ones! Many of them I have seen; those who truly belong on meds at best, but the mental hospitals and 'services' have gone away! Sorry, I digress.
Looking forward to reading more. Thank you.

Studied Oliver Sacks in psychology...marvelous reading. I have no idea whether the prophets of old were schizophrenic or not, whether they did have visions...lots of People with strong Faith are gifted with Visions or odd unexplainable happenings even today. i suspect strobly just as jews and Christians take certain passages from the Tora and the Bible, passages and parts that they can identify with and /or that back their thinking, then people can do the same with the Koran.
My kids Father stood up in Church and read from the Bible his excuse for divorcing me from passages that he had found and repeated the I divorce her thing, three times and sat down feeling very rightous.

I would imagine it is a hard job to get one's foot on the ladder. Of course I expect in those days a little miracle or two would not have done any harm. Research must be interesting Naut . Of course one must find the subject that one wishes to learn about first and then I guess it is fascinating. .
