I would be so happy doing this, but my health wouldn't allow it. I think your daughter sounds like a good possibility. I understand the attachment instinct but childcare workers manage to provide love to numerous babies and let them go, so to speak, when the time comes.

That is a great point. I could definitely see the volunteers getting super attached. I wonder if they have a way to handle those situations.

Beautiful picture of a beautiful baby! Growing up, our next door neighbors took in a foster child, in addition having their own natural child. They became very attached to the boy, and ended up adopting him permanently.
