Entertaining and informative post; great music selections too!

 I think it's nice to have a wish list and such a mission to Mars would be on mine, But Earth and her earthlings have so many issues and needs the resources should go to first.

Well I would have liked to see a more thorough examination of this earth's past first Bill.

 Or of future prospects that might determine how long this little wave of humanity will exist before the next catastrophe. If it is something like a million years perhaps the money could be spent on medical research and the ability of this earth to support the ever increasing human payload. Good blog.

Not at this time, but because it is there, someone will go, eventually. Loved that line in the link: "Women are less supportive of a Mars mission than men." And why would that be, I wonder? Gotta say, I absolutely loved your narrative and the music selections! Fabulous!
