I stand corrected, about Israel accepting refugees from Syria. Apparently, they have sent some aid into Syria, but will not accept any Syrian refugees. That incorrect part of my comment was based upon a paper article that my mother provided to me several months ago. My mother is definitely pro-Israel. The article was about Israel taking in some refugees from other conflicts. I thought that it included refugees from Syria, but apparently I am mistaken. I cannot find that paper article, and I cannot find any reference to it online. After searching, I can see that Israel's position on refugees is quite different than the paper article represented.
I should be more careful about accepting information from biased sources, as should we all. It is very difficult to sift out the truth. Every writer has a viewpoint that they are trying to support, an "agenda", and we tend to quickly agree with writers who support our viewpoint, without enough skepticism. I try to avoid that tendency, and I will be more careful in the future.
Anyway, thanks for correcting me in this error.

That last statement seems to sound a chord for most governments. especially if it is popular with the voters.
