Great post about memory
I can relate to your difficulties. I can remember some things in perfect detail, but I cannot remember where I just put something, that I was carrying in my hands, just one minute ago! This drives me crazy!! I will search around for five minutes, until I find it, and curse myself for being such an idiot. And then when there is a conflict with other people, as in your class, it just multiplies the difficulty. I think you did an excellent job, dealing with your personal memory problems.

You have a superb memory obviously, sadly mine has deteriorated to the point I can't recognize people I have known a long time in the stores.

Nerves can really play havoc on public speaking; used to help me
to single out one friendly face and talk to them. I am a strange one; become very anxious speaking about factual manners in front of gatherings of people I don't know well, but have never had stage fright (used to perform in high school plays) and love to recite poetry (no problems remembering the lines either) to any and all who will listen..:)

i am thinking that you wer very shy and nervous and perhaps could not really see why one must learn lines off by heart. You do have a superb memory.

Well once I could remember about twenty poems and still make another as I worked.
Now I have to copy all down or it slips away. Memory cells of old retain their function but new ones have to be prised open like oysters.
