Well I think you enjoyed both trips really Naut. I suppose one tends to carry the vision of the last trip and could be vaguely disappointing when seeks the same kind of continuation of rapport.

I imagine you were one of few people whose native tongue is English they got to practice English with. There is a bittersweet feeling when a chapter comes to an end.

Naut's excellent adventures... I'm going to miss these.
Reading Blogit stories with the electric fireplace warming me on a winter's day: now that's the cherry on the sundae of retired life...

There was just something special about the first adventure that the second one lacked, even if you could never explain the difference.

Oh, I do so hate to see this come to an end! Any other sailing adventures? Perhaps you should invent a traveling professor who is sailing around the world in search of answers to various unsolved mysteries, delving into various cultures so that you can give us culinary reports, cultural reviews...perhaps character portraits of local inhabitants, of all two and four-legged, winged, etc. I don't know....just fantasizing (stowing away, lol)..

Hmmm, the food was okay, the crew thawed, the trip was shorter, the squid, maybe the same or not? - sooo, me thinks perhaps the heart of the difference was YOU! You said bigger and better things were ahead for you and that this was feeling like a job, of all things! And it was Christmas time.

I am so happy that you have been sharing this with us and that it is written down. One never wants to forget such adventures.
