TAPS

Unfortunate about the drained battery, I've done that a few times and it really is annoying.

Sorry about your car. I feel sad to see the open spaces go away. It reminds me of the Joni Mitchell song where they "...paved paradise and put up a parking lot."

Too bad about your car, TAPS, but really cool place and pictures!

Hope you're feeling better; that's a good word to describe what I kind of have been feeling too; like it better than my "winter blahs" term....:)

Wonderful place you found and it does look like left overs from a Movie set. I am sure once you wound your way out of there you realized you had truly found something fabulous.

Are the best parts of our countries going to be all cities? I am glad that I won't be here. We don't have GPS either. By the time we set it we would be two days late in leaving. LOL

How interesting to go for a Sunday drive and finding out

your ordinary sedan is actually a time machine... Lucky for you you managed to get back to the present.  What a treat this post is.

Re: Naut

In my old age, I seem to balk at the new technology.  LOL.  Some strange voice telling me which way to turn when would ruin my peace and quiet and take away the fun of having to use my own brain and my good sense of direction.

TAPS

I love this! It's great fun to drive into the 'unknown' and explore, although in my case that would involve going pretty far, since around here too much 'country' has been lost to developments...And you might want to invest in a GPS device - they don't cost much any more, and will always show the way home...

I do short runs these days Taps so I always charge the battery once a week. It does look like an old film set. Although always be careful you might get kidnapped.

Thus far in my life, I have been lucky when it comes to car batteries not going dead on me.

Your drive led you to an era bygone and some nice photos for us to see.
