All good, but what happened with the trees when Archie found out?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Not impressed with the baker

If such discussion doesn't happen up front, as far as I'm concerned, there will be no nuptials. It does sometimes seem as if the mating game is regarded as calculated moves, manipulations, and little tricks. I guess it comes from the tradition that makes marriage more important as a thing in itself, than aiming for an honest relationship. Just re-read PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, a prime model of that kind of thinking in the early 1800s.

You have so much good reading here, I don't know where to begin commenting.  I guess I'll just say that I would be glad to try one of the bakers products--maybe that with the currants in it.

No some are looking for worse things Ciel. It would be nice to have an honest discussion

and hopes before the nuptials.

Re: Re: Not impressed with the baker

Can't agree that we all look first for a free worker in a spouse. That would be a sad world!

Re: Krisles

Hope you are alright, I suppose you could buy a lump of dough from a baker and improve on the flavour. Sniff, sniff, I thought I could smell your pie but I guess it was too delicious.

I did so love baking bread....but it just got to be too much work!!!  So, you're right, it does take strength to be a baker.  I am so craving a hot yeasty roll right now....of course, a cinnamon bun would do! lol!  No, I think I would like to go make a pie......

Not impressed with the baker

who is looking for free labor, not a wife.

I have a bush in front of my house that grows extremely quickly...A very clever poem with the baker.

CCT

How are you going to explain that nice trimming job to Archie? And the poem is tasty, especially with the icing on the cake at the end...

It seems to me the very competent tend to pity the less so, and to

patronize them (us) just a little because we don't take to the work like ducks to water which seems easy-peasy to them.

Nice twisty cinnamon roll of a poem about the baker's potential wife. Delicious.
