There are a lot of solar powered homes and businesses around the Austin area...and I see the panels on ranch houses, even some barns, when I drive around....the reflections show for miles as I drive the highways. Just like those huge turbine things....whole new landscape. And, yes, it is the optimism of human nature to forget the bad once it has passed...that is where wisdom is supposed to come in - experience, etc.

France has been flirting with the idea of solar panels on roads...I think it won't happen but who knows.

Well here folk have been on a good deal. A subsidy from on high no less and wall insulation . Of course you get more sun than we do I am sure,
