Yes my old Uncle gave me a pair once as a parting gift. Everyone was dying with laughter as I had to appear grateful. Second hand of course.

Pat, I go for thermal lined trousers when it is cold. Don't see many now but once the rugs were down in front of the fireplace.

I've seen ads for silk winter undershirts for warmth.  Love the poem! Talk about recycling. I come from thrifty Scots-Irish folks who never wasted anything, so it really agrees with me.

I have had some long john hassle, too. They can be such a pain, but once one figures out how to get them on, they are so well worth it.
