Nautikos

Great photos are making this come alive even more, but your descriptions are so vivid I can almost feel the sun that is shining on those sails.

Looks to me like it's a shadow of the mast... larger than the mast itself.

I'm so enjoying this series...

They kept you all very busy out at sea...That is how I feel with the salty season. I am ready to be on the go, and that means more money for all.

It is so great that you had sailing knowledge going into your adventure and were able to join in and lend a hand, so to speak! Now, if you could just recall what made that shadow... Looks like maybe something on the mast, or a mast?

In a way it was grand experience. That is if one was prepared to be a part of the operation. I have just been standing on deck for a second or two. I noticed one could climb up the pole that held the sail. I just felt like hanging on to the first rung a bit afraid I might slide off the deck.

They must have really appreciated having you on board. A lot of snotty nosed people wouldn't have helped the guys like you did, eaten their food or tried to learn their language. of course you had a much richer and life experience by bunking is as you did.
