Yes well some have it easy, times were when most had to struggle. Now granny will go to work to enable the daughter to send her children to a private school. Nothing wrong with you Pat it has always been the way of the world.

Adversity can be a great teacher! I am reminded of Nietzsche: "What doesn't break me makes me stronger." (That may not be the exact wording, but I ain't gonna look it up now, LOL)...I must confess, though, that I have never been able to completely disregard the unimportant things in life...

There is nothing wrong with you. You are a real person and true to our sex. I just admire you so much.
I was pretty spoilt, probably shallow as a girl and had to learn about the hard knocks life throws at us as life advanced. Took me a lot of mistakes to get to a place where I found I loved myself.
