Re: Kabu
I expect they think, 'She does not look a day older.' Well that is what the tell me . The dentist did say I had more hair than her twenty-two year old son. I took it in a bag to show her.

Re: ChiffChaff
That is the problem Bro, but you have at last found a reason to enjoy each day and not many men of your age can say that.

Re: Pat
I suppose moderately good health is a bonus Pat. All on here seem to have had a rough time at one stage . However they have overcome the trials and can now torment each other. Shss! not a word to anyone.

Re:
Now adnohr you don't know what toads look like around here. Perhaps she had been reading fairy stories. I know once we visualized grannies as little women wearing shawls.
I was chatting to a women in a newspaper shop and a girl was standing by her side.'
'Your sister?' I queried as innocent as ever. She gave me a strange look. 'My grand-daughter. Yes well.

Just things cheeky little girls do. Bits are partly true. Perhaps she could have said Hello Boychap. That's what the villagers called beardless youths.

Re: Taps
I don't know Taps , I don't want to be the little lost boy in Blogit. Perhaps the others would be more happy to show an early photo and you could make a worthwhile collection. I have got to find one first, what age did you have in mind?

And the beat goes on... it took me a minute when my daughter became a grandmother for the first one. Then I sighed and said Okay, and have been reaping the joys ever since. I like this poem, but you don't look like a toad. Did she change you?

Looking back, if you can recall some good adventures,
or having been lucky enough to get through some tough times, and friends who were there for you through thick and thin - then you can call it good and celebrate it all. I do love your wistful poetry, which today seemed to have worked out in your favor...
