Well I would like to select my neighbors Pat. You would be alright because I might be able to siphon some free water from your storage pool.

For some reason this post made me start having an earworm of that old song:
I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
in that bright land where we'll never grow old;
and some day yonder we will nevermore wander,
but walk on streets that are paved with gold.
But, until then, I'll take a room at your place.

I'm happy with what we have right here, electricity, spare generator, sump pump and 4 acres so neighbours are farther away but you wrote of a marvelous dream house for somebody younger than me.

Animal friendly. Can I have a back screened area where Mr. Graysome can watch the birds feeding and small critters. Oh and each bedroom area to have a small sitting are with a tv system. I love to spend time alone...
I, like Naut. will love the swimming pool and a Library is necessary. All books should be collective and if we overlap we may want to donate some to charity.
And a house keeper and washer woman and someone to come in and do the heavy garden work and maintenance. I adore the mushroom concept.

Pat...
Dammit - I forgot the squash court! Someone else can have the tennis court - I don't play that much any more...

It does sound interesting! I guess I don't even have to mention a gym and an indoor swimming pool - they're givens! But where's the library? Where's the stable for the two horses I need for riding, and the two-wheeler when my back hurts and I can't ride? And I hope this edifice is close to a very large lake (most any of the Great Lakes will do, though not Lake Superior - too chilly up there - but preferably Georgian Bay on Huron) and a dock for my small (32ft) sailboat and my slightly larger (56ft) trawler...I'll even do some fishing...And absolutely everyone there must adore my dog(s)......But on that hill behind the house we might as well have a small Observatory...
