Wow - what an experience! You were never a little uneasy during those storms?

Nautikos
Another great sailing chapter and I remember how I loved the power of the waves myself as I stood right up at the bow.

Yes well I like the table top version, it appears to be a bit more user friendly. Although I suppose that can be rather hypnotic on a moonlit night.

Those heavier seas are a bit much for my taste, but
I would have loved the feel of the boat beneath my feet. I remember being on a boat when I was about three years old, a small boat used to ferry sailors and their guests from the dock out to the USS Saratoga where she was anchored in San Diego harbor. Mom, Dad and I were going to the ship's Christmas party, and I kept wiggling out of her lap and running from stem to stern while the motor revved and there was a rooster tail in her wake.

Exhilarating, indeed! I'd just have to make sure I was bolted down! And how did you have to presence of mind to be snapping pix during high seas, and on one knee yet?

I love your pictures and tales of your adventure, but I am so very thankful to be a landlubber.
