I myself probably enjoyed the second part the most. It was more unique, mythical and thought provoking. Yes keep it and work on it again. I find it is good to put something away for a while and then go back to it after reading more research material.

I think, well I don't know much. However I do think that this kind of exercise can limber one up and hopefully inspire a good novel. I was reading about an Author who submitted manuscripts occasionally only to become so disillusioned that he said he would not write anymore. He did though and self published he sold thousands of his books afterwards. Of course it is like the first books on Amazon, one now has to compete with every one who has a dream of becoming famous. So never give up, not only that it keeps one's brain active. Now I can fall asleep.
