Congratulations and may it all work out for you. I was self employed for nearly 40 years buying, selling repairing machinery like lead type casting machinery like Ludlow and Linotype then I became ancient too.

This sounds like a really grand venture. I can see Charlie's puppets popping up from everything from live theatre to sound and screen and street theatre. And I like the idea of your own house on site and wonder what the cabins or spaces will hold? Everything that you all have to contribute I expect.

Sounds like a perfect startup to be "sheltered" under an SBA grant and located for the first year under one of those economic development umbrella organizations. Sometimes these are under the wing of a university's public admin. or business departments... Good luck, it sounds so exciting!
